This Prohibited and Restricted Products Policy (“Policy”) explains the products and services that sellers are not permitted to list, advertise, sell, or distribute through Azoomar (“Azoomar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Azoomar is a multi-vendor online marketplace that allows independent sellers and businesses to offer products to customers.

All sellers are responsible for ensuring that their products, listings, advertisements, and transactions comply with:

Azoomar reserves the right to remove listings, restrict products, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate action where a product or transaction violates this Policy or applicable law.


1. Prohibited Products

The following categories of products are generally prohibited from being listed, sold, or distributed through Azoomar.

1.1 Illegal Goods

Sellers may not list or sell products that are illegal to manufacture, possess, distribute, import, export, or sell under applicable law.

This includes goods that are prohibited by the laws of Cameroon or applicable laws in the destination market.

1.2 Illegal Drugs and Controlled Substances

The following are prohibited unless specifically permitted by applicable law and expressly approved by Azoomar:

  • Illegal narcotics;
  • Recreational drugs;
  • Controlled substances offered without appropriate authorization;
  • Drug-related equipment intended primarily for illegal drug use;
  • Products falsely represented as controlled or prescription substances.

Prescription medicines and other regulated medical products may be subject to additional requirements.

1.3 Weapons and Firearms

Azoomar generally prohibits the sale of:

  • Firearms;
  • Ammunition;
  • Explosives;
  • Bombs;
  • Grenades;
  • Illegal weapons;
  • Weapon components subject to legal restrictions;
  • Items designed or modified primarily to cause serious physical harm.

Other weapons or self-defense products may also be restricted depending on applicable law.

1.4 Explosives and Dangerous Materials

Products that present an unreasonable risk of explosion, serious injury, or environmental harm are prohibited.

This may include:

  • Explosive materials;
  • Improvised explosive devices;
  • Certain highly dangerous chemicals;
  • Illegal chemical substances;
  • Materials intended for the manufacture of explosives.

1.5 Stolen Property

Sellers may not sell or attempt to sell property that they know, suspect, or have reasonable grounds to believe was stolen or unlawfully obtained.

This includes stolen:

  • Electronics;
  • Vehicles or vehicle parts;
  • Equipment;
  • Luxury goods;
  • Personal property;
  • Business property.

1.6 Counterfeit and Fake Goods

Azoomar prohibits counterfeit products and unauthorized replicas that infringe another person’s or company’s intellectual-property rights.

This includes:

  • Fake branded clothing;
  • Counterfeit shoes;
  • Fake watches;
  • Counterfeit electronics;
  • Fake cosmetics;
  • Unauthorized replicas;
  • Products using another company’s trademarks without authorization.

Sellers must not falsely claim that a product is authentic, original, authorized, or manufactured by a particular brand.

1.7 Products Infringing Intellectual Property Rights

Listings may not infringe copyright, trademark, patent, design, or other intellectual-property rights.

Examples include:

  • Unauthorized copies of software;
  • Pirated movies;
  • Pirated music;
  • Unauthorized digital books;
  • Unauthorized reproductions of artwork;
  • Products using copyrighted material without authorization;
  • Products using another person’s trademarks without permission.

1.8 Fraudulent or Deceptive Products

Products may not be listed in a manner that intentionally deceives customers.

Prohibited practices include:

  • False product descriptions;
  • Fake claims about product performance;
  • Fake reviews;
  • Misleading photographs;
  • False brand claims;
  • False certificates;
  • False guarantees;
  • Concealing important defects;
  • Manipulating product specifications.

1.9 Dangerous or Unsafe Products

Products that present an unreasonable risk of serious injury, death, or significant property damage may be prohibited.

This may include products that:

  • Have known serious safety defects;
  • Have been recalled;
  • Do not comply with applicable safety requirements;
  • Have been improperly modified;
  • Are unsafe when used as intended.

1.10 Human Remains and Human Biological Materials

The sale or commercial trade of human remains or human biological materials is prohibited unless specifically permitted by applicable law and expressly authorized for legitimate purposes.

1.11 Products Exploiting Children

Azoomar strictly prohibits products, content, or services that sexually exploit, abuse, endanger, or otherwise facilitate the exploitation of children.

Any such content or activity may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required.

1.12 Financial and Fraud-Related Products

Azoomar prohibits products or services designed primarily to facilitate fraud, identity theft, financial crimes, or other unlawful activity.

Examples may include:

  • Fake identification documents;
  • Forged certificates;
  • Stolen financial information;
  • Stolen payment credentials;
  • Fraudulent financial instruments;
  • Services designed to circumvent legitimate financial controls.

2. Restricted Products

Some products may be legal but require additional restrictions, documentation, age requirements, licenses, certifications, or prior approval.

Sellers must not list restricted products unless they comply with all applicable requirements.

2.1 Medicines and Pharmaceutical Products

The sale of medicines and pharmaceutical products may be subject to strict legal requirements.

Sellers must not:

  • Sell illegal or unauthorized medicines;
  • Sell prescription medicines without the required authorization;
  • Make false medical claims;
  • Sell expired medicines;
  • Sell counterfeit medicines;
  • Misrepresent the composition or medical purpose of a product.

Azoomar may require evidence of appropriate authorization before allowing certain medical products to be listed.

2.2 Medical Devices

Medical devices may be subject to applicable registration, certification, labeling, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their medical devices comply with applicable requirements.

2.3 Cosmetics and Personal-Care Products

Cosmetics, skincare products, hair products, perfumes, and other personal-care products must be authentic, properly described, and safe for their intended use.

Products may be removed where they:

  • Contain prohibited substances;
  • Are counterfeit;
  • Are expired;
  • Have misleading medical claims;
  • Have missing or misleading ingredient information;
  • Present an unreasonable safety risk.

2.4 Food and Beverages

Food and beverage products must comply with applicable food-safety, labeling, storage, packaging, and expiration requirements.

Sellers must not sell:

  • Spoiled food;
  • Expired food;
  • Contaminated food;
  • Food falsely represented as a particular product;
  • Food containing prohibited substances;
  • Products with deliberately misleading labeling.

Sellers are responsible for appropriate storage and transportation conditions.

2.5 Alcohol

The sale of alcoholic beverages may be subject to licensing, age restrictions, advertising requirements, and other applicable laws.

Azoomar may restrict or prohibit alcohol sales depending on the seller’s authorization, the applicable law, and Azoomar’s operational requirements.

2.6 Tobacco and Nicotine Products

Tobacco, nicotine, vaping, and related products may be subject to specific legal requirements and restrictions.

Azoomar may prohibit or restrict these products depending on applicable law and marketplace policy.

2.7 Pesticides, Chemicals, and Hazardous Materials

Certain chemicals, pesticides, industrial materials, and other hazardous substances may require special authorization, packaging, labeling, storage, and transportation.

Sellers must comply with all applicable requirements.

Azoomar may prohibit products that present an unreasonable safety, health, or environmental risk.

2.8 Adult Products and Explicit Content

Products and content that are sexually explicit, exploitative, illegal, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law are not permitted.

Where adult products are legally permitted, Azoomar may impose additional age, content, advertising, listing, and transaction restrictions.

2.9 Animals and Wildlife Products

The sale of live animals, protected species, endangered species, wildlife, animal parts, or products derived from protected species may be prohibited or subject to strict legal requirements.

Sellers must comply with applicable animal-welfare, conservation, wildlife-trade, import, and export laws.

2.10 Cultural and Archaeological Objects

Archaeological artifacts, protected cultural objects, historical objects, and other culturally protected materials may be subject to legal restrictions.

Sellers must be able to demonstrate lawful ownership and the legal right to sell such items where required.

2.11 Financial Services and Investment Opportunities

Products or services involving investments, lending, financial services, cryptocurrency, insurance, securities, or similar regulated activities may require authorization.

Azoomar may prohibit sellers from offering regulated financial services without appropriate legal authorization.


3. Digital Products and Services

Digital products may be sold on Azoomar where permitted, provided that the seller has the legal right to distribute them.

Prohibited digital products may include:

  • Pirated software;
  • Stolen accounts;
  • Hacked accounts;
  • Malware;
  • Viruses;
  • Unauthorized access tools;
  • Stolen digital content;
  • Products designed to facilitate fraud or unlawful access;
  • Unauthorized copies of copyrighted material.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that they own or have the necessary rights and licenses for digital products they offer.


4. Products Subject to Recalls

Sellers must not knowingly list products that have been recalled because of significant safety, health, or regulatory concerns.

If a product previously listed on Azoomar becomes subject to a recall, the seller must promptly notify Azoomar and stop offering the affected product.

Azoomar may remove recalled products without prior notice.


5. Product Safety and Seller Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their products are:

  • Safe;
  • Authentic;
  • Accurately described;
  • Properly labeled;
  • Legally sold;
  • Suitable for their intended use;
  • Compliant with applicable regulations.

Sellers must provide customers with accurate information regarding product characteristics, specifications, ingredients, warnings, instructions, and applicable restrictions.

Azoomar does not guarantee that every product listed by an independent seller complies with all applicable laws.


6. Age-Restricted Products

Certain products may only be sold to customers who meet applicable minimum-age requirements.

Where age restrictions apply, sellers are responsible for implementing appropriate age-verification procedures where required.

Azoomar may impose additional restrictions or prohibit certain age-restricted products altogether.


7. Import, Export, and Cross-Border Sales

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their products comply with applicable import and export laws.

A product that is legal in Cameroon may be restricted or prohibited in another country.

Sellers must therefore consider:

  • Import restrictions;
  • Export restrictions;
  • Customs requirements;
  • Product certifications;
  • Destination-country regulations;
  • Shipping restrictions;
  • Taxes and duties.

Azoomar may restrict cross-border transactions involving products that present significant regulatory or legal risks.


8. Product Listings and Descriptions

Sellers must provide accurate and complete product information.

Listings must not:

  • Misrepresent the product;
  • Use misleading images;
  • Hide important defects;
  • Make unsupported claims;
  • Use another company’s brand without authorization;
  • Misrepresent the origin of the product;
  • Misrepresent the condition of the product;
  • Include prohibited content.

Azoomar may remove or modify listings that violate this Policy or other marketplace rules.


9. Enforcement

Azoomar reserves the right to take action when we believe that a product or listing violates this Policy, our Terms, or applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • Remove the listing;
  • Restrict the product;
  • Suspend the seller’s account;
  • Cancel transactions;
  • Restrict selling privileges;
  • Withhold or delay funds where permitted by applicable terms and law;
  • Require additional documentation;
  • Request proof of authorization or certification;
  • Permanently terminate the seller’s account;
  • Report suspected illegal activity to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

We may take action without prior notice where immediate action is necessary to protect customers, sellers, Azoomar, or the public.


10. Seller Verification and Documentation

Azoomar may request additional information or documentation before allowing certain products to be listed.

Depending on the product, this may include:

  • Business registration information;
  • Product authorization;
  • Regulatory approval;
  • Safety certification;
  • Brand authorization;
  • Proof of authenticity;
  • Import documentation;
  • Relevant licenses or permits.

Providing false, altered, or fraudulent documentation is strictly prohibited.


11. Reporting a Prohibited Product

Customers, sellers, and other users can report products that they believe violate this Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

Azoomar may update this Prohibited and Restricted Products Policy from time to time.

Changes may be made to reflect:

  • Changes in applicable laws;
  • Changes in marketplace services;
  • New product categories;
  • Safety concerns;
  • Changes in our business operations;
  • Changes in regulatory requirements.

The updated version will be published on this page together with the revised “Last Updated” date.
